Sydney Hip Hop artist Kween G returns to the music game with her new EP ‘Sensible Rebel’ featuring her longtime collaborator producer Zaink K along with special guests Nancy Dennis, Daniela B and Drea.

After loss of gigs and income, Kween G critically reflected on her own practice and decided to create an introspective work that speaks to our time and is relatable to all. Through lyricism and anecdotes from community guests shared through visual compositions Kween G explored her Ugandan and Australian roots by using music and poetry through highly produced original work to present it.

“Sensible Rebel’” is informed by my own lived experience and is an interrogation of the current socio-political climate. This project was conceived following reflection about the lack of sustainability within the arts industry. – Kween G
